June Gloom

Every girl gets into a closet rut... and that's definitely been happening to me lately. Ever since I started my own business, my daily routine has consisted of eating breakfast, showering, and work. I've heard people talk about the importance of making yourself up and dressing professionally when you work from home to help with motivation and focus, but that just gets old after a while. I also don't really have any summer pieces in my closet that are inspiring me at the moment; it pretty much consists of outdated, trendy dresses that I've worn since high school or college. Crazy, right?

So I went back to the drawing board and dressed in the spirit of the customary June Gloom that California experiences yearly. The shirt came from a handful of clothes that my guy friend gave to me in college because he didn't want them anymore, which has been handy in wearing under denim jackets or dresses, like today. I've also been getting more into silver accessories lately; I've always worn gold, so I try to incorporate these cuffs from THP SHOP every chance I get.

What do you do when you're left uninspired by your closet and don't know what to wear?
