Hi loves,

Growing up, I had a select number of bloggers that I followed consistently, like Karla Deras of KarlasCloset.com. Do you guys remember her?! She now has her own clothing line of sexy wardrobe staples, but she was formerly known as the queen of vintage finds, modernizing each garment through her re-purposing and unique styling (check it out here). I've been looking through her Instagram lately, and was inspired once again by her edgy and sexy styling of such simple pieces, so I took a different route with this look. If you guys have noticed by now, I never wear anything form fitting or sexy in the slightest, so for me, this was a significant step in that direction 🙈

To mimic the timeless and vintage feel of Karla's aesthetic, I decided to take some photos in Old Town Goleta. Santa Barbara always gets all the glory and attention from tourists anyway, so I felt it was necessary to show Goleta some love this time around. Here's a little background for those who've never heard of Goleta: 15 miles north of Santa Barbara, Goleta is also known as "the Good Land" for its fertile soil, mild climate, and the amazing people that live in this sleepy town (here's an article from the SB Independent touching upon this topic). And I can definitely attest to that, considering that I can walk into my local bike shop and grocery store and I'll know the employees by name.

'til next time,
Erin
