If you've been following me for a while, you are probably well aware by now that I am always looking for versatile basics to add to and complement my wardrobe. I've been working on being more conscious about my purchase decisions, which always entails asking the question, "Was it ethically manufactured? What is their sustainability policy?" I spend much of my time scouring the internet for emerging sustainable fashion brands, and caught whiff of Marie Hell a while ago. Therefore, I was super stoked when they reached out to me to feature one of their dresses!
They're all about creating "sustainable and edgy classics" for "women of all ages" that can transition from "everyday wear to special occasions." They support the slow fashion movement through their product sourcing and ethical manufacturing standards.
They have a great variety of designs and colors to choose from to stock your wardrobe, so it was definitely difficult at first to choose one! However, I couldn't help but gravitate towards the Flaunt Tunic in cream, not only because the off-the-shoulder silhouette is all the rage right now, but I've always been in love with that look. It immediately reminded me of a black, form-fitting, off-the-shoulder top that I was obsessed with in high school.
What I love most about this dress is how incredibly soft it is! You can always tell if a garment is made with a higher quality fabric just by touching it, especially when you've been shopping in the fast fashion world for the majority of your life. It also goes without saying that this dress can easily stand alone as an outfit, but could also be layered with other accessories to glam it up or make it more casual.
